SAD NEWS, LINUSFRIENDS. Our hamster Eloise passed away while we were on vacation. We were sort of expecting it - she was an adult when we got her almost two years ago, and she had really been slowing down and sleeping a lot lately. We warned our friend who was coming to feed our noncat pets, and sure enough he called us on Wednesday.
Linus clearly missed her very much. He sat on the tank and peered in it for quite some time, and seemed confused about her absence. On Sunday, we took the cats out on leashes and had a little funeral in the yard.
